More Days With More Prayers Answered

Hi friends!

This week has been another good one!

We gave some really amazing tours on the square and talked with a lot of cool people. I also got some good news this week. Some of the temples in Utah are opening back up meaning I'll get to go through soon! To make it better my parents will be able to come out and go through with me! I'm so excited and so so thankful!!

After one of those amazing tours I mentioned before, we were walking back to a different building and as we crossed the cross walk I cheerfully said hi to this man in a suit to which he responded with "hi sisters!" (This response was much better than last weeks) Anyways, I didn't know who it was at first because of the sun glasses and mask he had on, BUT when I heard his voice I knew exactly who it was. Sister Bass turned to me basically shouting I might add "that was Elder Rasband!!" Needless to say we were both a little excited. Just a little...What a man!

During one of our companionship studies this week we received a call saying I was needed for an ASL tour on square! Now as you might have guessed I was so nervous. This not only would be my first time giving a tour in ASL on square but also just my first time signing in person with someone in general. Though it went pretty well all things considered and I can now officially say I gave my first tour on square in ASL. It made me more than ever want to become super fluent.

Speaking of ASL, I'm still doing Bible studies with the same lady and they're going great. They're still a little difficult but I'm starting to understand her signs that are cut in half since she signs with only one hand. Plus we're starting to make some progress which has definitely been an answer to our prayers. In fact, yesterday she prayed in front of us for the very first time!! Though she was hesitant at first it made my heart so happy to see her pray just as we taught her and even more so to see her expression after she finished. Make that another radiant smile to add to the list!

This week we've definitely seen so many answers to our prayers. As I was thinking about all of our experiences I remembered this talk that I read when I first got here and realized there was so much good in it! So here are a few of my favorite quotes from it!

- "He blesses us not only according to our desires and needs but also according to His infinite wisdom"

- Heavenly Father is very much involved "in the details of our lives, even when we may not be aware of it or understand it."

- Matthew 6:8 “For your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him,”

God is so aware of us and aware of our specific needs! He is in the details of all of  our lives. Keep praying and keep trusting I promise He listens and even further he answers!

Love and miss you guys!!

God is good! 🤟🏻
