Mom I passed!!

Friends and family you'll be happy to know that I am a TULIP!!

It's been another week and as you just read I am in fact a tulip! Now that might sound weird but I now take that as a HUGE compliment. Let me explain haha. This past week we had the unique experience of being able to have a zoom fireside with President Ballarad for our mission alone. One of the first things he said to us was that we all looked like a bunch of tulips. Ya hear that! An apostle of the Lord thinks I look like a tulip! How sweet! He was so loving and so inspired!

As for my subject like in the mission to be able to drive one of the mission cars you have to take a test. Today was the day after 4 months almost 5 in Salt lake that I finally took the test and passed with flying colors. My mom should be so proud :)). Speaking of numbers though this past friday on the 20th I hit my 6 month mark of being a missionary! That's insane if you ask me. I can literally say that I have less than a year until I get home. What?! Time is so weird and I don't know how I feel about it. I can definitely say that I've been so thankful for every moment of it though!

This week I had the opportunity to interpret twice for the Headquarters mission and it was so good! Don't get me wrong I still have a long way to go but I know that I've improved a ton. It brought me back to the mtc when we worked on interpreting and I was terrified. Scared little Sister Mac had no idea what was coming for her haha! They need me for these meetings to help lift the load but more than that I've needed them for the opportunity to progress and push myself further. I know this was such a direct answer to my prayers! Another exciting ASL story happened in the middle of me and Sister Bradshaw sat down to plan for our week. For reasons I shall not say we moved to a different spot in the North Visitors Center, a spot that allowed for us to be in the sun and a spot that happend to be right by the glass door and windows. As we continued to plan all the sudden Sister Bradshaw began to freak out confused I turned around and saw a couple standing by the door peering in. Still confused she explained that it looked like they had been signing. Well friends that was enough said I grabbed my mask and rushed to the door not even taking the time to grab my coat. As I got to the door it opened and I was able to sign back to her to find out that she was looking for a bathroom. As I took her and her husband over to the restrooms we talked and I was able to learn that she's a convert and the reason she came is because her husband is interested in learning about the gospel! They were both so sweet and we were able to exchange information to hopefully set up a tour. At the end she expressed how grateful she was that we found her and even more so that I understood her and was able to communicate with her. What a miracle that we were able to be in the right place at the right time to meet the right people. God is so good!

This past week I listened to "His Grace is Sufficient" by Brad Wilcox twice for the like hundredth time. Many of you who have read it can probably understand why. It's simply amazing and honestly a little life changing. If you reading this then it means you will go look it up (on the church website/ or YouTube) and then you need to send me your favorite part or quote! Okay? Okay. I'm so thankful for his words and I know you guys will feel the same!

God is good!
