Who Knew I was EXPECTING!!!

Oh my goodness friends! It has been quite the week and a half! I don't even know where to start!

I guess I'll start with transfers. Seeing as this past transfer was Sister Cummards last, I had the sad job of "killing her". Not my favorite but I'm so thankful for the friend that I gained and for all that she taught me about Christlike love. She now has officially made it back to her sunny home in Arizona adjusting back to normal life. It was sad to say goodbye, though as one has left the mission world a new life has entered which brings me to my subject line. Last Monday I was asked to be a TRAINER! I am now training my amazing new companion Sister Bradshaw who got here just last Wednesday. I'm a "mom"! It's a weird feeling as it feels like it was just last week that I was in her shoes.

ALSO Halloween was this past week!! The mission fed us pizza and then had us all gather in a few of the different theaters in the north visitors center. There we participated in a live zoom devotional with John Golberg or "Kolipoki". For those of you who are very confused there is a movie called "The Other Side of Heaven" and it tells the true story of John Groberg's crazy experiences on his mission in Tonga. His story is highly inspiring and he is one wise old man that has so much to teach those around them. I'm happy to say that I now know who "kolipoki" is and am a proud fan. After hearing from him we got to watch the actual movie and it was so good. Then we headed outside where they had donuts and hot chocolate. I'd say Halloween was pretty much a success.

This past week Sister Cummard and I taught our good friend "Annie". I had met Annie during one of my first few weeks here in slc when she came on chat asking for prayers. Ever since then we've been meeting every week and it's been incredible to see the change in her. We normally would just study the Book of Mormon with her, but for this lesson we had the chance to tell her a little bit more about how the church was restored through Joseph Smith. As I relayed Joseph Smith's experience in seeing God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, I couldn't help but find myself crying as I spoke his words. The spirit was so strong and I knew that it was the spirit testifying of the truthfulness of the message we were sharing. I know we weren't the only ones that felt it because as we asked Annie a question she too had found herself in tears as well. God is so so good and is always so anxious to teach us. Just like Joseph Smith, I know that if we pray to Heavenly Father He will always be there to help us find understanding, strength, and hope.

That's about it for today friends.....stay tuned for all of me and Sister Bradshaw's adventures!

Love and miss you all!

God is good!
