2 Truths and a Lie

Just a friendly game of 2 truths and a lie!

• Christ lives

• Despite our faults and shortcomings He and our Father in Heaven still love us

• money grows on trees (yay party πŸ’ΈπŸ₯³. )

I'll let y'all do the guessing! Good luck finding the lie!  ;)

Haha well friends it looks like its Tuesday already...pretty crazy if you ask me! Nevertheless I'm so thankful for the week I had, despite how busy and chaotic it all was!

Soooo to get started I should probably mention that President Ballard may or may not have spoken to us at church this past Sunday and I may or may not have freaked out. Again. It was amazing and so so perfect. Something that I loved that he said was "As an apostle of the Lord I say get over it now!" He was saying this in regards to getting along with a companion, but I feel like it can relate to so many different situations in life. He went on to say that we just don't have time for it. So he challenged us to get over it by Christmas. Maybe there's something we can "get over" this Christmas season. At the very end he told us to all reach out our hands and he did the same and he pretended to shake our hands. Something he would have loved to do if covid wasn't a thing. It was very sweet and was so cool.

This week being the one leading up to Christmas we've been able to talk to so many cool people on square. We met people from Tonga, Russia, Brazil, and so many more and we loved every minute of it! Learning about their lives and hearing their stories. Many of which would share their testimonies with us or even just some fruit (shoutout to Robert, our new friend we met on the street who talked with us and gave us an orange). It was all welcomed and all a bright light in our day to get to know so many people.

We also have continued with our daily caroling and honestly I really love it! I'm not a singer (y'all already knew that though) BUT I have gained a new found appreciation for the songs that we sing. Elf knew what he was talking about when he said that "the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear". Each night as we sing many people will roll down their car windows to listen and wave while others walking will even stop and sing with us. It makes me so happy to see the smiles the carols bring them. Though what Elf forgot to mention  is the fact that it's also a great reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. The other night as we were singing I just felt this surge of joy just remembering what Christmas is really all about. I felt as if I traveled back in time and was rejoicing in song and getting anxious and excited that Christ our Savior was coming!! Back to the present day - we know the good news! He did come, He atoned for our sins, and He still LIVES and will come AGAIN! And it is because He lives that the inevitable hard time can still be reassured with hope and the good times can be met with great joy. The reason for us to deserve this all I will never know but I will always know who it's from and infinite love that it was motivated by.

God is so good! And if you haven't seen for yourself how... just pray and then look up!

Merry early Christmas friends!

Love and miss you all!πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

Also I highly suggest watching the Christ child! It is one of my favorites and so beautiful!!! It tells the story of Christ's birth and is a good reminder that he's the reason for the season!
