A Temple Square Christmas

Wow hey friends! Last week was Christmas and it was a blast and very much needed! 

We were so blessed by so many people and their giving hearts! And the spirit of Christmas was more evident than ever. Being on the square was the best way to spend Christmas besides being away from the whole family thing. Though I was able to call them Christmas day which was good. Man I love them....Christmas day we were treated with meals and a movie! It was so fun to be with the whole mission and celebrate the birth of our Savior. 

There's something I say when showing people the Christus statue that I thought I'd share with you all. Now I won't lie and say I came up with it, but I heard it from someone else and it really stuck out to me. When you go to where the Christus is you see the beautiful hand painted mural on the wall as it circles upward to Christ. When you finally make it to the top you're able to stand in front of Him. Looking down to you with His arms open wide and a foot in your direction. All of His beautiful creations are behind Him. Though that is because His best, favorite, and beloved creation is now right in front of Him. It's us! I don't know, kind of cheesy but I just loved that and thought it couldn't be more true or perfect. We are His favorite creations and He loves us dearly!
