Brad Wilcox! I Know Him!!!!!

I met Santa, prayed some more on the street with strangers, and almost lost all if my fingers and toes all in one week. Crazy I know.

Okay so maybe my fingers and toes didn't almost fall off but they sure felt like they might. This week we started our new Christmas schedule. Although the square gates close at 4:30 we still are walking around talking to people, caroling, and sharing Christs light until 9. And in case you didn't know Utahs cold so hence the aching feeling in my hands and feet. In all seriousness though I really do love Christmas time here on square. With the lights everywhere and singing christmas songs each night it's hard not to get in the spirit. We've also had some really cool experiences talking to the people on the street at night. (That's where praying with strangers falls in haha). Another thing that I absolutely love is the Santa who sings on the street with his blue guitar. Every time we walk by he adds "sisters" into whatever lyric he's on. Boy do we feel special.

This past week was also Thanksgiving! We were graciously provided dinner and though it was not cooked by my mom, grandma, and aunts I was still very thankful. We were also treated with the opportunity to watch the movie Miracle on 34th Street! What a blast haha. That night we had our daily hour shift of walking around square giving tours, talking to people, and greeting people. Now I'll be honest I was not too happy to be doing this. It was the last hour of the night, it was cold, and the square wasn't even open! We literally were about to go walk around the reflection pool in circles for the next hour. Though I tried to be positive and literally within the first 5 minutes of the hour we ran into a member group of 3. Two older men and then one younger. We ended up talking to them for our whole stroll. We learned that the young man about 24 maybe, who has limitations and has been trying to serve a mission for so long and had felt really down about it all. Before we left I was able to boldly share my testimony looking him in the eyes and tell him that he has already been so blessed solely for his desire to serve. God know his heart and his intentions and that's what matters, that's what counts. The spirit was so so strong and I can only hope it had the impact the spirit and Heavenly Father wanted him to feel.

Okay so when we first saw Santa on the street I might've yelled "Santa! I know him!!" Like buddy the elf butttttt now I can yell "Brad Wilcox!! I know him!". This past Sunday we had a special devotional with the Brad Wilcox! Before he spoke he went around saying hi to everyone and he stopped at our bench and talked with. Literally looking me in the eyes as he spoke. On top of that I got to hear him say over the pulpit that "His grace is sufficient" oh my goodness it was the best. The devotional itself was absolutely amazing and I have the notes and testimony to prove it! (I'll be share some of my notes! I know you're all anxious to know;)). He taught some really profound things and really helped me come to understand Christs atonement and His grace a lot better. Putting Brad Wilcox and the Spirit together was truly a force and I will be forever grateful for the things they taught me.

God is good!.
