Love, Elder Rasband's Bestie

Oh hey friends! Welp it snowed again and again and again. Your Texas girl thinks its beautiful but would be lying if she said she wasn't dying justttt a tiny bit.

This past Sunday we called our friend Annie and as she is preparing for a surgery she was pretty scared and down. We talked to with her for a few minutes and in hanging up the phone me and Sister Bradshaw looking at each other realized we had the same exact thought. We need to see if the Elders could give her a blessing. Right away we called the Elders and got the great news that they'd be able to go over and meet with her the very next day! With that alone we were hyped but even more so when they let us know how it all went! So they went over gave her a blessing and then invited her to be BAPTIZED and she said YES! I CANT EXPLAIN HOW STOKED I AM FOR HER! I've see so much joy brought into her life despite her lifes circumstances. From my first phone call with her in tears, to the studies she started to have with me and my companion, all the way to now. Her circumstances havent changed all to much but her hope and outlook has. She is filled with just so much faith!

Something special that happens every Thursday for us missionaries is that the Prophet and his apostles pray for us who serving all over the world. It's a weekly reminder for us of the support and love that out Father in Heaven has for us and the work we are doing. This past Thursday night Sister Bradshaw and I were standing outside talking with a security guard when all the sudden Elder Rasband comes walking by us! It went a little like this...

My internal dialogue: oh my gosh its Elder Rasband!

*him walking in our direction*

Me: HI!! (Said a little to excitedly)

Elder Rasband: Hi Sisters!

Me: How are you?!

My internal dialogue again: oh my gosh I can believe I just said something else to him!!

Elder Rasband: Good!

Sister Bradshaws inner dialogue: how can he talk to us more he must stay

Sister Bradshaw: I like your scarf!!!

Elder Rasband: thank you!

Sister Bradshaw: where'd you get it from?!

Elder Rasband: I don't remember.

Sister Bradshaw: ah okay

Both of us: BYE!!! (said creepily in unison)

Elder Rasband: bye *swift wave*

So yeah that happened. We may or may not have done a happy dance once concealed from the human eye.

This week I was reading this talk from general conference by Elder Elder Utchdorf and it was amazing!

"Though we are incomplete, God loves us completely. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly. Though we may feel lost and without compass, God’s love encompasses us completely."

Gods love encompasses us all! With that I love you guys all a ton and am so thank for all the support and love! Until next week!

God is good

Elder Rasband's bestie ;) 🤟🏻
