In the Details!
Hello friends and family!
Well I've spent this whole past week sick which has not been very fun, but we'll overlook that haha. Despite feeling horrible all week I really got to see God's hand in my life each day. Whether that be the fresh cool air, beautiful sunsets, a helpful companion, or the relief that has come as I've prayed.
This past Thursday we had one of those moments where you just knew that Heavenly Father played a part in making that experience happen. Let me give some background first though by rewinding back to November when I had just started to interpret for the Headquarters Mission. That first day I was soooo nervous. I had prepared and prayed as much as I possibly could and when the day came and it was my turn to sign my fears all melted away. I could really feel the spirit helping me sign calmly as well as just feel the spirit that was filled in the message that the woman shared. In her message she told the story of how her sweet husband passed away and in a very tragic way I must say. Though she repeatedly made the point to testify that Heavenly Father will not leave us hopeless or helpless. Wow, it was a powerful testimony. Anyway- now fast forward to this past Thursday when I was feeling BEYOND nauseous and was really struggling to just feel decent. Each day we're assigned at least one hour as to when we should be walking around the square just ensuring that there's always sisters there and ready to help. We weren't meant to go out at 3:00pm but decided to switch with some other sisters for 5:00pm because they had a lesson during that time. As we began our "shift" I realized it was just what I needed. There was a BEAUTIFUL sunset and the cold but not too cold weather helped soften my current state of being nauseous. As we walked around we saw two ladies facing the construction and decided to go and say hi. Not long after talking we learned that one of the ladies was the same woman I interpreted for on my first day! And not only that but also that it was the anniversary of her husband's passing. It was so special that I ran into her and then was able to thank her as well as tell her how strong I was able to feel the spirit through relaying her story. She was so touched and it just confirmed to be that Heavenly Father really is so aware of us! He is a part of even the smallest details and in turning to Him can help us be in the right place at the right time so that we may meet the right people.
God is so so good!
