I'm Half Way There......Living on a Prayer!!!

Woah friends... time is officially whack!!!

In case you thought the subject line was deceiving you like I did, it is actually correct. As of the past Saturday I have officially hit my half way mark....scary. I've grown so much and I can't imagine not serving. The mission thus far has truly shaped me in ways I once thought impossible and has shown me that God really does see our full potential.

My ASL is in no way perfect, I've never had an ASL companion, gone to an ASL ward, but I have seen God help me learn in so many other ways. I've also seen the blessings that come the more effort I put into studying it. Which leads into a miracle I experienced this week. But first let me tell you about the bizarre woman we met the other day. I promise it leads to the miracle.

A long story made "short":

As we were walking around we met one of the most loveliest of ladies you ever did meet. She carried a cigarette in her hand amongst other things and seemed lost.... Anyways, we said 'hi' and continued walking and then abruptly stopped when we heard "hi love you!" Which left us with "huh?". Little did we know this would lead it to a very rushed and urgent conversation. She explained that we needed to "put in a word to the military to watch the skies and start guarding the city more, because it's a beautiful city but we are getting possessed. And I can't say anything because I'm rejected! I'm rejected everywhere, but I know out the mouth of 2 the word can be established!! And that's you guys! So will you please inform the military? They need to know!! And I'm anonymous! Okay so don't mention my name. Don't mention (tells us her name). Just say that several citizens have talked about it and this needs to be resolved"

So besides the possible possession of construction workers and the bombs they are apparently making I think we're doing okay! 👍

Miracle:

As crazy as that experience was, it put us in just the right place to meet just the right people at just the right time. As we crossed the street and began walking in front of the conference center we passed a few sisters talking to a couple. We smiled and continued to walk, but then we heard them say "WAIT WAIT! They know sign language!!" OH! So I stopped and was actually able to talk and have a conversation with them. They were deaf and both from Iran and moved here not too long ago and decided to stay. They asked me if we were Jehovah Witnesses. I explained who we were. They were so sweet. I eventually found out they were looking to find the mall and so I offered to walk down the rest of the street w/ them and then point them in the right direction. As we were about to leave the sisters asked how they could say it was really nice to speak with you. So I helped them say it to them both and the woman responded the same and added I love you!! It was literally the sweetest thing ever. As we walked, we continued to talk and then stopped right before the crosswalk. We continued to talk and I explained more about how to get to the mall. As we continued talking I got his number!! And we're planning to give them a virtual tour soon!. And I'm hoping to hopefully teach them!!! I just had a feeling that they were so prepared. I guess we'll see! Ahhh I'm so excited for it all! I love those coincidences that aren't coincidences at all!! They testify that God is aware of all and is in the details of our lives. We can all be instruments in His hands to speak to others or lift others at just that right moment.

Also if you guys could pray for our friend Sandra we would greatly appreciate it. She's going through more than you could ever imagine with her family and could really use your prayers to be able to press forward!

On a very much side note, we went out to eat yesterday and as we sat in the restaurant guess what happened! A song by Michael Bublé came on and I swear I could've LITERALLY CRIED. My heart was so happy because anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with his music. Ahaha send help.

Anyways I love and miss you all!

God is good!
