Safe and Sound

My wonderful friends and family HELLO! This week has been filled with zone conference, exchanges, and lots of learning. This past Tuesday I had my 2nd zone conference here on the mission! And after a lot of choir rehearsals I was able to sing with a lot of other sisters. Now I am not a singer by any means but I do enjoy it and it was fun to perform it after all of our hard work. Plus we sounded kind of amazing if I do say myself. The conference itself was also really good though I learned so much! Ya girl took a lot of notes...oops. I'm so lucky to have to so many sisters and leaders here in the mission that teach me so much. Yesterday I had exchanges with our district leader Sister Quindo. I love love love her! She so cute and such a stellar missionary. I loved being able to learn from her. I even learned some Taglog from her (please do not quiz me on this haha) but it was still a lot of fun. Now I just need to teach her some sign language :). So being in the capital of Utah which is a bigger city we do see a few protests every now and then. When these happen security will message President Larsen who then messages us to either stay put or to get home. That being said this past Saturday after a few times going back and forth we got the 'go home' text. Though we didn't make it very far before we saw that the protest was actually going on a lot closer than they thought so they now wanted us to go back and wait with other sisters in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. After some waiting a security guard came and got us all and walked us all the way to our apartments. It was very sweet and made us feel important. To add to this all, on our way home we walked by this long line of cars seeing as the traffic had gotten all backed up. It was so funny though because many of these cars would all honk and wave at us. We felt so special it was like we were part of a parade or something haha. Wisdom from our amazing Presidents wife Sister Larsen: "God can't fill you if you're already full of yourself." Wowza...mind blown hahaha. I don't know where she found this quote but I loved it. Miss you all! God is good! Sister Mac🤟🏻 1. Cheesin hard :) we love Jesus! 2. Though I sadly did not capture this amazing picture another sister did and wowza. I'm impressed utah. 3. I love to see the temple🎼 4. You know who it be 5. Fun fact: the assembly hall is literally so beautiful and probably my absolute favorite building on square! (Besides the Temple of course;))
