The 3 S's
Hello hello hello!
This week has been filled with signing, studying, and sweet surprises!
The other day I got passed off to give tours in sign language! I've definitely already given some tours in sign language but now it's official haha. The "test" was just me walking around the square and giving a fake tour to one of the other sisters who is the asl language coordinator. Afterwards she told me she really liked the way I signed and that it was really calming. I think it's the inner dancer in me. I was flattered haha.
During a comp study the other day we got a phone call and my first thought was oh no they need me for an asl tour. Why else would they need me right? I was prepared to give one but still nervous haha. Though to my complete shock it was sisters telling me that I had family on square! I was so confused and so so surprised. So we headed off to square to see and that was an adventure it of itself. You see there's this man who always sits outside of city creek mall playing his saxophone. We always pass him on our way to square and it's literally the best thing I've ever heard and always makes my day. That being said I always make sure to say hi or tell him how amazing it sounds. Well this day in particular he was setting up and so I was like hey I've been wanting to ask him for his name and this was the perfect time to ask. Well that somehow led to him roping us and two others sisters to sing a hymn as he played the saxophone. So here we are on the side of the street awkwardly singing along to a church hymn. We also definitely didn't know all the words but oh well. Overall it was really funny and a good time haha.
Well, I finally made it square and saw that my aunt and uncle were there! Shout out to Amber and Dave haha. It was so good to see and talk with a familiar face. Wow, I love them!
Yesterday I also hit my 3 month mark of being a missionary that's pretty wild. I've already learned and have grown so much. So I'm excited to see what the rest of the mission has in store for me :)
Love you guys so, so much and hope you have a stellar week! Also to all my friends and fellow missionaries if you ever want a virtual tour of temple square or the conference center please let me know! It's literally one of my favorite places and had such a special spirit about it!
God is good!
