An Expanding Heart
Well friends as of yesterday the Conference Center is officially open!! Whooo! There were literally people lined up at the doors waiting for it to open! Walking through the doors and seeing people walking around looking at the different displays and sisters talking to guests made my heart SO happy. Sister Bartlett and I could barely hold our excitement as we walked to our first shift. This shift happened to be on the roof top and let me tell you it was HOT! Though it was hard to complain because we were able to talk to so many people. It was the absolute best!!
Okay you all already know this but I just can't get over how much I love giving tours on Historic Temple Square! It genuinely makes me so happy! Oh and the best part by far is at the end of the tour when we get to share our feelings about the temple! It just makes my heart so darn full. Each time we share the spirit just hits so strongly and it's the best feeling! And ahhhh friends if you could see their faces. The look they get in their eyes says it all and whether they recognize it or not it is the spirit they are feeling. Man being a missionary is just the best!!
At the end of one of our tours this morning we were talking to one of the families about temples and wow. As we spoke we learned that the man was actually preparing for baptism! He told us that there was nothing that could pull him away. He said that all the gaps in life and questions he had were being filled. Everything he said was so sweet and the spirit was so present. As I looked him in the eye I was able to tell him that it is worth working toward to enter into the temple. It is all worth it!! There's nothing anyone can say, any doubt, or any experience that can take away from the feeling you have inside those sacred walls.
So friends it doesn't matter who you are or what stage of life you're in, you can start now to prepare to enter the temple. The peace and spirit you feel inside are irreplaceable and truly are from God.
