Glorious Weather with some Glorious People

Hey friends! Wow this week really hit us with some GLORIOUS weather!! Now it only lasted a few days but we loved every moment of it. It ranged from like 50-70 degrees and made us so happy and so so ready for fall! Tuesday was definitely the peak of it all and honestly the peak of my week as well. I started my day off with some amazing studies which then led to an even better comp study. We decided to do our comp study outside near the temple and it was perfect. I highly recommend it! Later that day we gave literally a 2 hour tour on square to this really nice family. It was amazing. They just had so many questions and wanted to know about everything. There's not much to add about it but it was just so so so good I don't know how to explain it haha. Earlier this week we went as a district to get acai! As a first timer I give it about a 7/10. It's only fault was that there was a hint of a banana taste. Which for me is not good haha. Though it wasn't too overpowering thank goodness! Now when it comes to the cafe and the way it was decorated... wow solid 10/10 the absolute cutest very impressed. We've been doing Bible studies with this lady. We'll call her Nancy and they've been going really good. Though the other day we told her about the Book of Mormon for the first time. We were so surprised about how excited she was to get the Book of Mormon, haha. She wanted her own paper copy but couldn't wait to read it until it got there so she made us help her download the app. She's already read quite a few chapters and loves it! At the end of the lesson we asked if she would pray (she's always hesitant) so with a hint of laughter in our voices we said " Nancy would you like to pray???" And with so much sass and sturness she goes "you know I don't!!" It was so funny and made all of us laugh lol. She ended up praying though and it was absolutely perfect! We took an interesting couple around Square. The man was from Australia and swore a LOT, as in every other word, and he is not religious even though he went to a Catholic boy's school. But he and his wife were very friendly and any awkward moments turned into chances to laugh and tease each other a bit (we were still dignified though, don't worry). At one point I was able to diffuse what could have become a tense moment into getting to know more about them and connect with them thankfully. We told them about each of the buildings and shared the miracles they experienced and showed them every picture in our flipbooks (pics that help show the inside of the buildings and just ones that explain our beliefs). We even had to explain resurrection at one point. We didn't really talk about the Christus and only shared pieces about the temple, not because we were afraid to share that, but because we didn't want to subject sacred things to him possibly making light of them. But at the end, they said it was very informative, and they enjoyed it, and we really felt like we were able to leave them with a positive impression of Christians and of the Church so yay! Haha. Something I've learned this week through the scriptures, people we're teaching, and just some talks I've found is that faith really is a choice. Faith doesn't just fall upon us by chance. "Faith never demands an answer to every question but seeks the assurance and courage to move forward, sometimes acknowledging, “I don’t know everything, but I do know enough to continue..."" (Elder Neil L. Anderson) So choose to have faith my friends!! God is good! Sister Mac 🤟🏻 PHOTOS! 1. Me and Sister Chan! 2-3. Acai w/ my district 4.
