What Can I Say I LOVE the Temple
Friends & family hello!
This week has been crazy and full of so many miracles! Though I don't have much time to write I'll just share one of my favorite ones! You may have guessed it but it does have to do with the temple haha. What can I say I love the temple!
This past Friday we had a shift by the temple model. We spoke with the 4 sweetest women ever. As we stood by the model one of the women asked if we could walk them through the purposes of each room and so we did. Room by room we shared the spirit of each. The final room we spoke of was the sealing room. To give them a better view we took them to the touch screen monitors where we could show close pictures and a prerecorded video of the sealing room as well as all the others. We shared more and they loved it. They continued to ask many questions and were amazed by temple square and the temple it self. We spoke a lot of family history and the things we're able to do for our ancestors in the temple and they loved it all.
They were some God believing women and I loved it. You could see their faith. As I pointed this out to them we were really able to form a bridge of a common belief and love for our God and His Son Jesus Christ. It was beautiful to see. And the whole time we all just radiated so much joy and kindness. They smiled with each of our answers and really took the time to understand and therefore love.
As we continued talking questions of the work we do for our ancestors came up. You know where do we get all these names. We stressed family history and I even ended up pulling my phone out to show them my family history app walking them through my line. They were blown away haha. Seeing all the pictures for each member, the sources behind them, and the love for each really hit them.
I told them how through the promises we make in the temple we can be with our families for eternity. At one point I said that eternity is a long time. We all laughed a little at that but as I continued to share I explained. Sometimes it's hard to imagine or to feel that those promises are real. Though I shared how because of my experience in the temple and the feelings I felt I knew for certain. I could feel that word eternal. As I finished speaking one of the ladies just exhaled and tapped her chest and with eyes beginning to water said, "when you said that". As I looked around I saw there were tears to be found in the other women's eyes as well. The spirit was just so simply there... and they felt it. There's no doubt in my heart that they didn't. The spirit has a changing power that I really hope rests in their souls and in their memories. That one day they might choose to water the seed that they found planted in their hearts.
God is just so so good and I will be eternally grateful for the opportunities I have now to testify of the temple and ultimately of Gods love. Their truly is no better feeling then of the spirit.
I love God. He is so good!
