Accept the Push!!

Whelp friends God has truly been blessing Salt Lake and sending a lot of rain our way. Such an answer to many prayers considering the big drought Utah has found itself in.

This week we got transfer news!! I'm still training Sister Morgan, but I'm also now a district leader! All good news for sure! Other than that though it's just been another week filled with opportunities to sign, interpret, and make new friends. Which makes me so so happy! I love sign language and the opportunities it gives me to connect with more people.

Today as we were walking back to our apartment for lunch we were walking on the sidewalk that's along the front of the conference center. This walk happens to be a little uphill and as we looked ahead of us we saw a man in a wheelchair wheeling himself up it. Then in front of him there were two men, a dad and his probably mid to late 20s son coming in our direction. As we watched we felt bad knowing as missionaries we aren't allowed to push guests. Though the sadness quickly disappeared as we watched the son without hesitation or thought turn his direction, grab hold of his chair and push him up the hill. For some reason this small moment really touched me and I couldn't stop thinking of the kind man's actions. The man in the chair was probably capable to do it himself, in fact he's probably made the trip before. Though recognizing a load that could be lightened the man generously stepped in. In life we experience a lot of hard uphill trials. I believe this to be a sign though that God trusts us and knows our strength, but yet has loved us enough to give us His Son to lift us through them. All we have to do is accept the push.

God is so good and so mindful of me, you, and the man in the wheelchair and will continue to send His son and other people to push us through our challenges.

I love Him!
