Heavenly Fathers Handy Work in the Sky
Guess who's been in quarantine..... ME!
Hey friends! So yup these past couple days we've been confined to our apartment. After 10 months of no covid cases we now have had 6. Pretty crazy though considering how many people we talk to from around the world each day. But hey we've been so blessed and everything's been promptly taken care of. The 6 sisters are recovering and we should be getting out of quarantine this week! We did our best at staying busy but we did at one point take a few minutes of just throwing an orange back and forth. I'd say my catch got pretty good.
Something kind of wild though as we were walking back to our apartments after being told we would be quarantined we ran into Sister Cordon!! She immediately stopped us and wanted to get to know us. Asking our names, where we were from, and how we felt in receiving our mission calls. And she knew exactly where Allen was so shoutout to all my Allen friends! We cool or whateva ;). Next thing you know though we were having this spiritual conversation and it was the best. Within a span of like 3 minutes she had taught us a lesson and extended an invitation in the most normal and natural way. Take note my missionary friends haha. She talked alot about the importance of remembering. About how we should record our testimonies so that one day our younger self can teach your future self.
Before we were isolated from the world Sister Bradshaw and I had the time to go to the conference center and have studies. We couldn't have been there at a more perfect time the sun was setting and it looked beautiful! It was so peaceful! I actually loved it so much I decided to share a little about it on my Facebook. Here's some of what I had shared:
"This past week I was filled with immense inner peace and my heart felt at home as I sat looking at the beautiful sun setting over Salt Lake City. Sunsets have always been comforting to me, but in this moment I felt as if it was something that was connecting me to God. As I sat there the simple words of the Savior just kept coming to mind "Peace, be still." As life moved forward I was able to look upward and feel complete serenity despite anything that may have been going on around me. Christ kept His promise then just as He always has and always will. Though He may no longer be on the earth His peace is."
Go find your personal sunsets!
Love and miss you all! God is good!
